KEB Hana microfinance is one of the largest microfinance institutes in Myanmar, providing affordable loans to support the financial needs of those who wish to start or to expand their business. nexlabs was initially engaged to develop an application for Hana Microfinance’s loan field agents.  

However, with the onset of Covid19, nexlabs pivoted and developed an application instead for the loan recipient that would be paperless for all upcoming transactions, including: documentation, surveys, and loan updates.  

Most importantly, as the app was designed for the underserved population in Myanmar, the application could also be used offline to offset data cost and usage, with the information only uploaded once an internet connection was provided.
